On December 11, 2007 the SCYSA Board of Directors presented a dream for Chatelech Secondary School fields with a vision of involving members of the Sunshine Coast being part of the possibilities.

The school board provided  a letter of agreement in principle in January of 2008. Over the next few months the SCYSA gained insight from community members and conducted an online survey through its membership.

This image shows the water run off from higher elvations with the inability to drain. Although not as visible, the field is quite saturated and typically remains in this sort of state for most of the school year.
