Hometown Screening of critically acclaimed documentary and Q & A with directors Nova Ami and Velcrow Ripper Metamorphosis takes the pulse of our Earth and bears witness to a moment of profound change: the loss of one world, and the birth of another. Forest fires consume communities, species vanish, and entire ecosystems collapse. Economic growth, tied to increased speed of resource extraction, has created a machine with the capacity to destroy all life. But this crisis is also an opportunity for transformation. Through a tidal flow of stunning images, the film carves a path from the present to the future, and offers a bold new vision for humanity and the world.

Glenn Close excels in this simmering drama about a highly intelligent, mature beauty — the perfectly devoted wife — who has spent forty years sacrificing her own talent, dreams, and ambitions to support her charismatic husband’s literary career. When he wins the Nobel Prize for Literature and they head to Stockholm, the uneven compromises of their marriage — the infidelities, the excuses, and more — reach a breaking point. On the eve of the novelist’s greatest recognition, a decades-long charade unravels.
